Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Horizon

The sun rose over the Dallas skyline on a crisp, brilliant Sunday morning, painting the horizon in breathtaking shades of gold, amber, and violet.
I stood on the expansive back terrace of the Preston Hollow estate, wearing a light linen sundress, holding a cup of hot black coffee as the morning breeze whispered through the oak trees.
My phone buzzed gently in my pocket.
I pulled it out. A notification from Madison Hale: “Flight 602 just landed safely in SFO on time, zero issues, passengers cheering. Have a wonderful Sunday, Miss Brooks!”
I smiled, typing a quick reply back: “Keep reaching for the stars, Madison. Best, Talia.”
Footsteps echoed softly across the stone patio behind me.
Sofia stepped out, holding her own coffee mug, walking over to lean against the stone railing beside me. A few moments later, Alexander joined us, wrapping his arms gently around both of us in a warm, solid embrace.
We looked out over the vast, endless expanse of the Texas landscape, watching the world wake up to a new day.
They had tried to break us with a wedding night betrayal, a stolen first-class seat, and an arrogant corporate establishment that believed power belonged only to those who wore it on their sleeves.
They had failed.

Because true power isn't about a designer suit, a famous last name, or a corner office. It’s about resilience, integrity, and the unshakeable courage to stand your ground when the entire world tells you to move.
And as we stood together under the boundless sky, I knew with absolute certainty that whatever horizons lay ahead of us, our path was clear, our foundation was unbreakable, and our future was entirely our own.
