PART 4 — ENDING

Six months later.

The same church stood bathed in sunlight.

But this time there were no lies.

No bruises hidden beneath makeup.

No fear hiding behind smiles.

Only peace.

Valeria stood near the altar wearing a simple cream-colored dress.

Not a wedding gown.

Just herself.

She had come to attend a charity event organized by a foundation created in her mother's memory.

The logistics company she inherited was thriving.

Hundreds of employees had kept their jobs.

New scholarships were helping young women escape abusive situations.

Everything Santiago once wanted to steal had become something that helped others.

As the event ended, Valeria stepped outside.

The afternoon breeze moved gently through the trees.

Her father joined her.

For a moment neither spoke.

Then Don Ernesto handed her a small envelope.

Inside was a photograph.

A picture of them together when she was seven years old.

"You've always been stronger than you think," he said.

Tears filled her eyes.

"I almost forgot who I was."

"No," he replied softly.

"You survived long enough to remember."

Valeria looked toward the city skyline.

The future no longer felt frightening.

It felt open.

Behind her, the church bells began to ring.

Not for a wedding.

Not for an ending.

But for a new beginning.

May you like

And for the first time in a very long time, Valeria smiled without fear.

THE END.
