Chapter 10 - The Unshakable Horizon

Five years later.

The morning air in Beverly Hills was crisp, clear, and completely free of shadows.

I stood on the private balcony of my newly renovated estate, holding a cup of fresh, unspiked green tea, looking out over the manicured gardens and the wide, open sky.

My life was entirely my own. Every trust, every company, every asset, and every breath belonged to me, earned through resilience, sharpened by betrayal, and secured by absolute truth.

David was spending his days behind the impenetrable, gray concrete walls of a maximum-security penitentiary in the Mojave Desert, staring at blank walls and wondering what life would have been like if he had simply been honest.

He had tried to bury me in the dark. He had let his mistress measure the windows for curtains she would never hang, laughing at my supposed demise while dreaming of my billions.

Instead, he had merely provided the fire that forged my absolute strength.

I took a slow sip of my tea, feeling the warmth spread through my chest, and smiled as a flock of birds soared gracefully across the golden morning horizon.

The curtains were open. The stage was mine. And the show was just beginning.
