Chapter 10 - THE UNBROKEN EMPIRE

The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting long, golden shadows across the sprawling Oakridge Heights estate.
From my seat on the modest wooden porch of the guest cottage, I looked out over the quiet landscape. The twenty-one-million-dollar trust remained fully intact, locked safely behind master legal protections, serving not as a weapon of control, but as a foundation for genuine philanthropy and enduring legacy.
I no longer cared about the multi-million-dollar mansion behind me, nor the title of corporate matriarch, nor the society gossip whispered at country club luncheons.
Those things were dust in the wind.
