The wedding was not held in a grand cathedral or a sterile ballroom.

It was held at dusk in the open courtyard of the Marchetti estate, surrounded by the people who mattered: Dr. Aaron Keller, Gabriel Ferraro, a recovering Liam Donnelly standing proudly beside his sister, and Eleanor Moretti—who had sent a quiet, elegant handwritten note of blessing from afar.

There were no reporters, no hidden cameras, and no secret tests.

Maeve wore a simple, breathtaking ivory lace gown that caught the fading golden light of the October sun. As she walked down the stone aisle toward Elias, she didn't feel like a servant, a proxy, or a pawn. She felt like a queen who had built her throne out of the ashes of her own survival.
